    MFR Part #: am-4006_048
    $168.00
    Availability: 2 in stock

The cold formed steel gears inside this gearbox are a 0.7 Module tooth profile which is 40% larger than the vast majority of planetary gearbox gears previously used on competition robots. The gears are larger, but the housing's size has been optimized to reduce any unnecessary volume. This means you get more reliability without sacrificing precious space. This housing is also one solid piece of aluminium, ensuring that there is no possibility for misalignment of the stages during assembly or during the rigors of match play.

Three stage, and now optionally two stage, versions of these gearboxes also feature an "HD" stage, with gears approximately double the face width of the other stages as well as a strengthened carrier plate. These larger gears on the output stage ensure that it will handle heavy or cantilevered loads without worry. The carrier plates are made of hardened 4140 steel and interface to the output shaft with a robust hex bore. New for 2019 we are opening up the use of every available gear ratio with every available motor input meaning there are some combinations that could theoretically exceed the gearboxes design characteristics. As such the blanket warranty we offered on these gearboxes in the past will be discontinued for future purchases. Rest assured that AndyMark still stands behind our product 100% and if you feel that there is a problem with your gearbox or any of our products please contact us and we will make it right. To help you decide which gearboxes to use for your application please reference the below table which includes the maximum torque that the gearbox is designed to take before it will fail.

A free packet of red tacky grease (am-2768) is included with every gearbox purchased. This grease must be used to coat every internal surface of the gearbox before use.

The 57 Sport includes mounting hardware for any 500 or 700 series motor including the AndyMark RedLine, the VexPro 775pro, the AndyMark RS775-5, the BaneBots RS775, the BaneBots RS550, and the AndyMark NeveRest. To install one of these motors, first remove any installed pinion from the motor and press on the included pinion gear using an arbor press or bench vice. This press fit ensures a solid mechanical connection between the pinion gear and the motor. This pinion assembly is not susceptible to vibration and never needs to be checked once installed. All ratios of Blue Sport Gearboxes use a 4:1 input stage, with the same tooth count pinion, so motors and gearboxes can be switched out with ease.

#10-24x3/4 Thread Forming Screw Minimum Qty 10

    #am-1123
    $0.31
    (In stock)

This is a Trilobe, thread forming, or thread rolling screw, ideal for applications where the screw is being threaded into plastic or metal.

A flat washer is part of the 5/16 hex head, providing more surface area contact than a regular hex head. The increased bearing area decreases the likeliness of crushing mating surfaces. Trilobe, or Thread Rolling, screws have a blunt tapered point that requires a pre-drilled or punched hole; eliminates chips and permits replacement with standard screw. Zinc plating froms a zinc carbonate film that greatly retards the corrosion rate in a normal atmosphere, which is similar to the aluminum oxide film that forms on aluminum that accounts for its low corrosion rate.

    Andymark Hubs 1/2 in. Hex

    #am-4124
    $12.00
    (In stock)

Each hub now has a "flower" pattern that fits and keys into our 42T 5 mm HTD Pulley, which means you are no longer constrained to our legacy 500EX Hex Hub for compatibility with this pulley. Every hub still maintains a closed-profile hole for maximum strength. Every shaft hub has been designed with bearing bosses on both sides that have been sized appropriately for the mating bearings that would pair with the bore through the hub, which means you can run each hub right against a bearing with no need for extra spacers. All of these hubs are also made from 7075-T6 aluminum, which is much stronger than the previously used 6061-T6, 6005, and 6105 alloys from our older designs. Where possible, the shoulder on shaft hubs was reduced to 7/8" in diameter for an easier fit with our molded plastic wheels, while still maintaining a precise 1.125" diameter boss for locating in wheels, sprockets, gears, and more.

The holes are evenly spaced on a 1.875 in. circle and 0.201 inches in diameter. That's a perfect size for #10 bolts!

4" HiGrip Wheel, 50A Durometer Blue

    #AM-2256_blue
    $12.30
    (In stock)

HiGrip wheels provide superior traction for robot movement. HiGrip wheels feature an aggressive tread pattern providing maximum transfer of gearbox power to the ground. A robust polycarbonate core means these wheels are up to the challenge for high impact and speed applications. Varying durometers mean you can choose just how grippy these wheels can be. White or 77A durometer HiGrip wheels have a long life and provide good traction. Black or 60A durometer HiGrip wheels have an intermediate life and higher grip than white. Blue or 60A durometer HiGrip wheels provide the most traction and will wear quickly as a result. The bolt pattern and bore of these wheels allow for convenient bearing placement and easy attachment to other motion parts such as sprockets and pulleys.

Bearing, 1/2 inch Hex Bore, Flanged, (FR8ZZ-HexHD)

    #am-2986
    $8.00
    (87 In stock)

This is a Heavy Duty Hex Bearing which outperforms our previous 1/2" Hex Bearings as it has a Heavy Duty Inner Race. This FR8ZZ-HexHD bearing, 1/2" hex bore, flanged, heavy duty inner race, shielded ball bearing, has an inner race that is thicker and stronger than our recent offering of a similar bearing (am-0279). This bearing has more material between the corners of the hex bore and the edge of the race making it stronger and much less likely to crack under high load.

This bearing is guaranteed to have a stronger, thicker race. 100% of these bearings have been quality checked for a smooth fit over 1/2" hex stock here at AndyMark. Many of our long-time customers will recognize this bearing, as it is the same version we sold back in 2008-2011, and we did not have any failures. Now, it is renamed and quality checked for your high load needs - including drive chassis with cantilevered wheels.

    8 in. Pneumatic Wheel Kit

    #am-0970
    $52.00
    (In stock)

Here is a high-traction wheel which includes a grippy rubber tire, an pneumatic inner tube, and a strong plastic hub. These parts are shipped to you in kit form. The unique aspect about this product is the competition-ready hub. The hub accepts any 200x50mm tire and inner tube, 1.125 in. (outside diameter) ball bearings (2 per wheel are needed), and the mounting holes needed to install hardware to be sprocket-driven or hub-driven. This wheel ships as a separate tire, inner tube, and hub halves.

    Assembly is required.

    Important Notes:

    • Diameter: The nominal diameter for this wheel is actually 7.65 in. when inflated normally.
    • Tube pinching: When assembling the tube within the two hub halves, be careful not to pinch the tube rubber between the plastic hub halves. If assembled with the tube pinched between the hub halves, the tube may puncture and leak.

    RPM Rating and notes:

These wheels are designed to be propulsion wheels for driving a robot or wheel chair. The design intent is to be contacting the ground, being driven by a gearbox at a maximum speed of approximately 500 rpm (which results in 17 feet/sec).

Within some applications, this wheel has been used as a shooter of objects, spinning at a very high rpm. For these applications, a higher rpm shows that the wheel may wobble, since the valve stem is mounted off to one side of the center of the wheel hub. We have seen properly balanced wheels, using securely mounted hardware (longer screws, washers) that can handle 5,000 rpm. When spinning this wheel at speeds up to 5,000 rpm, please take proper safety precautions.

    Included Hardware:

    • Tire for 8 Inch Pneumatic Wheel (Metric Size 200x50mm)
    • Inner Tube for 8 Inch Pneumatic Wheel, with 90 Degree Stem (for 200x50mm Tire)
    • Hub Assembly for 8 inch Pneumatic Wheel, which includes two (2) black plastic hub halves and six (6) 4-40 x1 Pan Head Phillips thread rolling screws

    NOT Included Hardware:

    • Bearings
    • #10 Screws and Nuts Needed to Mount a Hub (2 Inch Long Screws are Needed) or a Sprocket (2.25 Inch Long Screws are Needed)
    • Aluminum Hub, if Driven by a Shaft

    Wheel Structure:

The hub halves are held together with the #4-40 screws. This wheel can accept #10-32 screws for mounting sprockets or hubs, but these are NOT included since different length screws are needed to mount hubs or sprockets. These #10 screws can be mounted to the included 1.875 inch diameter bolt circle. The hub halves need to be assembled together so that the valve stem clearance holes line up. Locating features are present for easy alignment.

    Usage:

    With Axle and Hub:

    • In order to drive this wheel with a hub, use Hardware Kit 11, which includes #10-32x2 screws (6) and #10-32 nylock nuts (6)

    With Sprocket:

    • In order to drive this wheel with a plate sprocket, use Hardware Kit 12, which includes a 550 Sprocket Spacer, #10-32x2.25 screws (6) and #10-32 nylock nuts (6).
    • Two (2) bearings are needed for this wheel, if being driven by a sprocket. Use bearings with a 1.125 inch outer diameter. No flange is needed on either of the bearings.

    Use as a caster:

    • If you want to let this wheel spin without being driven, you will need to install two (2) bearings with 1.125 inch outer diameter.
