Agriculture
Our agriculture education teaching tools pair large-scale, interactive animal and plant models with curriculum, student activities and assessments. Use the links below to learn how these resources can help you engage students in agriculture career pathways.
Increase hands-on learning and career exploration in your ag classroom with simulators and models that address important skills.
Use our Soybean Plant Model to teach students about the different stages of soybean plant growth. This life-size replica includes the roots and nodes of the plant as well as the stalk, leaves, buds, and pods. The pods are differentiated to teach the five stages of pod growth and demonstrate healthy and unhealthy plant growth. The included curriculum completes the experience for both instructors and students.
Use the Corn Stalk Model, standing over six-feet tall, to teach about corn stalk growth as well as potential diseases. This replica includes eight different leaves with plant deficiencies, six quality leaves without deficiencies and student worksheets.
Give students hands-on opportunities to practice addressing a variety of major calf issues with our life-sized Calf Simulator. Help them to understand the importance of caring for cows during their most vulnerable phase of life. The included curriculum completes the experience for both instructors and students.
Use this set of five detailed Small Cow Models to create interactive group activities focused on exploring cow anatomy. Each small cow model is one-tenth of the size of an actual cow. Additionally, they feature realistic details of internal and external cow anatomy. When separated at the midline, 13 organs and body parts can be removed and studied. This product pairs well with the larger Cow Model when used as a classroom demonstration model. The set also includes curriculum.
The Suture Kit helps create accuracy and proper technique through repeated practice to develop key nursing and vet tech skills. Students are able to practice multiple and varying cuts as well as suturing techniques.
Give your students hands-on practice processing piglets with our Swine Litter Processing Simulators. Use each of the four piglet simulators in this kit to practice four processing techniques. These techniques include teeth clipping, castration, tail docking, as well as ear notching. Four sets of processing tools and supplies are included. Additionally, incorporate the included curriculum for a complete experience.
Each kit includes:
These lifelike Bovine Fetal Development Models represent bovine fetuses at different stages of development. Stages include corpus luteum and 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7 months. All eight models have realistic features and a rubberized, life-like feel. Use the models and curriculum in this set to help students develop an in-depth understanding of fetal development stages and the care those stages require.
Package includes:
The Calf Simulator Replacement Ears work with the Calf Simulator. Use them to simulate ear tagging and hormone implant injections. The ear replacements come in a pack of 20, 10 left and 10 right. Realityworks recommends a maximum of seven ear tags and five implants in each ear before replacement.
The Hydroponics Plant System Package is one of two comprehensive solutions for starting or building a plant science pathway program. This package includes 4 hands-on resources as well as curricula, presentation slides, activities, and assessments.
Allow students to take individual or small-group responsibility for growing a variety of plants with the Plant Mini Educational Hydroponics System Class Pack. The 5 desktop-size systems in each pack can all be used to practice 3 different hydroponics growth methods: Deep water culture, ebb and flow and microgreen. Incorporate STEM concepts into your curriculum and offer hands-on experimentation with these convenient systems.
Package includes:
The Plant Systems Package is one of two comprehensive solutions for starting or building a plant science pathway program. This package includes 6 hands-on resources as well as curricula, presentation slides, activities, and assessments.
Our Butcher Pork Cut Models include 13 life-like magnetic models of pork cuts to help students learn to identify, locate, and prepare each piece. This pork carcass model, which is about half the size of a real pig, features realistic bone, muscle and tendon definition. Additionally, the included standards-based curriculum provides four to five hours of classroom instruction.
Use this out-of-the-box Swine Kit to offer engaging, hands-on lessons on introductory swine topics, such as breeds, reproduction and feed and management. As students interact with the included learning aids, posters and curriculum, they’ll develop fundamental knowledge specific to pigs. This easy-to-implement program also includes career exploration resources.
These pathway/occupation-specific workplace scenario cards cover real-world situations in vet tech careers. Use these cards to develop soft skills within specific occupations through small-group discussions, as a large-group icebreaker or as an individual challenge.
Use the program to:
Address proper ear care and identification while providing safe, consistent ear tagging and notching practice with our Cow and Pig Ear Simulation. All ears are removable and replaceable, featuring a realistic look and feel.
