Wheels, Tires, & Rims
This is the strong polycarbonate plastic hub for a 6-inch Pneumatic Wheel. The hub accepts any 6 x 1 1/4 tire and inner tube, 1.125 in. (outside diameter) ball bearings (2 per wheel are needed), and the mounting holes needed to install hardware to be sprocket-driven or hub-driven. This product is shipped in kit form.
This is the inner tube that fits inside of our six-inch tire (am-2474) to create a six-inch pneumatic wheel, perfect for robot drive trains.
Here is a six-inch version of the high-traction wheel kit you know and love which includes a grippy rubber tire, a pneumatic inner tube, and a strong plastic hub. These parts are shipped to you in kit form. The unique aspect about this product is the competition-ready hub. The hub accepts any 150x50mm tire and inner tube, 1.125 in. (outside diameter) ball bearings (2 per wheel are needed), and the mounting holes needed to install hardware to be sprocket-driven or hub-driven. This wheel ships as a separate tire, inner tube, and hub halves. Assembly is required.
Important Notes:
RPM Rating and notes:
These wheels are designed to be propulsion wheels for driving a robot or wheel chair. The design intent is to be contacting the ground, being driven by a gearbox at a maximum speed of approximately 500 rpm (which results in approximately 13 feet/sec).
Within some applications, this wheel has been used as a shooter of objects, spinning at a very high rpm. For these applications, a higher rpm shows that the wheel may wobble, since the valve stem is mounted off to one side of the center of the wheel hub. We have seen properly balanced wheels, using securely mounted hardware (longer screws, washers) that can handle 5,000 rpm. When spinning this wheel at speeds up to 5,000 rpm, please take proper safety precautions.

Wheel Structure:
The hub halves are held together with the #4-40 screws. This wheel can accept #10-32 screws for mounting sprockets or hubs, but these are NOT included since different length screws are needed to mount hubs or sprockets. These #10 screws can be mounted to the included 1.875 inch diameter bolt circle. The hub halves need to be assembled together so that the valve stem clearance holes line up. Locating features are present for easy alignment.
Assembly:
This is a helpful step by step guide on how to assemble the wheel, it can be a bit tricky.

This rubber tire is a great option for robot drive systems that need some flex or squish. Much like its eight-inch friend (am-0970), this tire is paired with a Hub (am-2469) and Inner Tube (am-2475) to make a full Pneumatic Wheel (am-4189). This tire has loads of grip and is a good drop-in replacement where you would put any other six-inch diameter wheel.

The 6" Performance Wheel is a competition-proven design used by many top teams over the years. This wheel design incorporates a novel way of attaching tread, and also allows for sprockets to be mounted on both sides of the wheel. This wheel DOES NOT include tread material, which is available separately to tailor this wheel's performance to your application. Two 1.125" OD bearings, available separately, allow this wheel to ride smoothly on a dead (stationary) axle of your choosing.

Specifications:
* Load Testing: we applied 700 pounds on the location of the opening for the treads, and had no rim deflection.
Usage:
With Sprocket:
One sprocket on one side: To drive this wheel with a sprocket, (or to drive another wheel with propulsion from this wheel) then the sprocket needs to be attached to the side of the wheel, outside of a 250 Sprocket Spacer. Use Hardware Kit 3, which includes the screws for this.

With Axle and Hub:
Plaction wheels are a lightweight wheel made of strong molded polycarbonate. This six inch diameter wheel has high traction blue nitrile roughtop tread. High performance plastic and high traction, Plaction.

Usage:
There are two ways to drive this wheel. One way is with a Axle and Hub, and the other is with a Sprocket. To install a sprocket or hub onto a Plaction wheel, use 10-32 x 1.75" socket head screw (qty. 3 or 6), and 10-32 nylock nuts. To use one sprocket on each side of a Plaction wheel (2 sprockets total) use 10-32 x 2.5" screws(3 or 6) and 10-32 nylock nuts.

With Tread:
For a Wider Wheel:
This wheel is designed so that a 5" PVC schedule 40 pipe can be inserted between the two wheel halves, and a wider wheel can be created (additional tread may be needed).
This pneumatic wheel offers a significant hub strength improvement over our popular plastic-hubbed 8in. Pneumatic Wheel. This variant of this strong wheel features a 1/2 hex bore, which is a perfect choice for building a WCD style drivetrain, or any live 1/2 hex axle style drive configuration. The hub of the wheel is comprised of a machined aluminum core, with two flat machined plates bolted to it to retain the tube and tire. This product is great for both FRC drivetrain applications, or non-FIRST outdoor applications as well.

Omni-directional wheels in the smallest diameter offered by any common FIRST Robotics Competition or FIRST Tech Challenge supplier.
These 50 mm / 2 inch omni wheels features two different durometers:
They also have a standard 14 mm Hex Bore, letting you choose between 3 different bores:
Stack several of these wheels on a shaft to craft an unstoppable intake system for your robot that can be used to center game pieces.
Compliant wheels are not intended for moving robots, but moving objects. Compliant wheels give way to allow rigid objects to be manipulated easily. A line of multiple wheels on a driven hex shaft creates a very effective roller that ignores variations in the objects being driven. This makes for high-performance intakes and internal conveyors. The wheels are sized for an interference fit and tend to stay in place on a shaft, though a shaft collar may be used to make absolutely sure the wheels stay clear of other mechanisms or maintain consistent spacing.
The hex bore versions of this wheel are undersized, and are intended to be an interference fit on their respective hex shafts. This interference fit allows for effective torque transfer from the hex shaft to the wheel, as well as allowing the wheel to remain in place along the shaft without the need for spacers or collar clamps:
Different durometer ratings give each wheel unique characteristics. Green wheels (35A durometer) are the softest and most compliant around objects, while orange (40A), maroon (45A), and blue (50A) wheels are increasingly firm. The increased firmness also allows the latter wheels to carry a higher RPM rating. Check out the downloads tab for a chart showing wheels and their maximum RPM.
