The Gearbots STEM Challenge Mat is designed to help students master basic coding techniques and compeition skills using LEGO Educaiton Spike Prime. Combined with the included GearBots Coding Challenges this bundle starts student on an exciting journey that is designed to introduce them to the world of robotics and coding through a series of hands-on activities that build on each other. As an educator, you’ll guide your students through a step-by-step process, where each coding activity prepares them for the next, ultimately culminating in four skill challenges.
In the first phase, students will be introduced to the basics of robotics and programming. As they progress, they’ll learn how to use sensors, write simple programs, and troubleshoot their designs. Each challenge encourages students to apply the design process - identifying problems, brainstorming solutions, prototyping, testing, and refining their work.
Using this approach, they’ll develop solutions to complete specific missions while honing essential skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and collaboration - skills that will benefit them in their future careers. By the end of the GearBots Coding Challenge, students will not only have gained a deeper understanding of robotics and coding but will also have cultivated critical 21st-century skills that will serve them well in any field.
