With Axle and Hub:
To drive this wheel with an axle and hub, pick any of the AndyMark hubs to this wheel. Hubs are NOT included in the price of the wheel. No bearings are needed when driving with an axle.
With Sprocket:
To drive this wheel with a sprocket, the sprocket needs to be attached to the side of the wheel with screws, and two ball bearings are to be pressed into the wheel, one on each side.
With Bearings, as a Caster:
Bearings can be pressed in to the 1-1/8" diameter pockets on each side of the wheel. This setup creates a nice caster.

The 6" Performance Wheel is a competition-proven design used by many top teams over the years. This wheel design incorporates a novel way of attaching tread, and also allows for sprockets to be mounted on both sides of the wheel. This wheel DOES NOT include tread material, which is available separately to tailor this wheel's performance to your application. Two 1.125" OD bearings, available separately, allow this wheel to ride smoothly on a dead (stationary) axle of your choosing.

Specifications:
Material: 6061 aluminum, machined from billet
Diameter: 5.60 inches, without tread (6.0 inches with tread, not included)
Weight: 0.57 pound
Uses 1" wide treads
Bore: 0.95" with 1.1245" id x 0.250" deep on either side
Load Capacity: 500 pounds*
Tread Mounting Holes: 6 threaded thru holes for #10-32 screw on a 1.875" dia bolt circle
* Load Testing: we applied 700 pounds on the location of the opening for the treads, and had no rim deflection.
Usage: With Sprocket:
One sprocket on one side: To drive this wheel with a sprocket, (or to drive another wheel with propulsion from this wheel) then the sprocket needs to be attached to the side of the wheel, outside of a 250 Sprocket Spacer. Use Hardware Kit 3, which includes the screws for this.
Two sprockets, one on each side: One side of the wheel has no recess, so that side will only need a 250 Sprocket Spacer to space the sprocket out from the wheel. In order to put a sprocket on the other side, use a 550 Sprocket Spacer to get the sprocket out far enough so that the chain clears the edge of the wheel.
With Bearing:
Press a ball bearing into this wheel for a free spinning wheel or for use with a sprocket.. The ball bearing must have a 1.125" od. For a 1/2" id, use am-0030. For a 3/8" id, use am-0573.
With Axle and Hub:
This wheel can be driven by a an axle, if an AndyMark hub is attached to the wheel. Hubs are NOT included in the price of the wheel. If this is your choice, then no bearing is needed. To install a hub onto a 6" Performance Wheel, use Hardware Kit 3.
Plaction wheels are a lightweight wheel made of strong molded polycarbonate. This six inch diameter wheel has high traction blue nitrile roughtop tread. High performance plastic and high traction, Plaction.

Bolt Pattern: 12 Holes around a 1.875" diameter circle, every other hole is sunken
Body Material: Black Polycarbonate
Load Capacity: 150 pounds (estimated)
Weight: 0.84 pounds
Tread Capture: 0.9 inch wide (clamps tread)
Tread Width: 1 inch
Tread Type: Roughtop Conveyor Belting
Coefficient of Friction on HDPE: 0.488
Coefficient of Friction on tight-pile carpet: 1.19
Included Hardware:
Two - 6" Plaction Wheel Halves
Six - Individual #10-32x1" SHCS
Six - Individual #10-32 Nylock Nuts
One - 6" Wheel Roughtop Tread
Two - Individual Alligator Clips
One- Individual Alligator Clip Pins
Usage:
There are two ways to drive this wheel. One way is with a Axle and Hub, and the other is with a Sprocket. To install a sprocket or hub onto a Plaction wheel, use 10-32 x 1.75" socket head screw (qty. 3 or 6), and 10-32 nylock nuts. To use one sprocket on each side of a Plaction wheel (2 sprockets total) use 10-32 x 2.5" screws(3 or 6) and 10-32 nylock nuts.
With Axle and Hub:
If you wish to drive this wheel with an Axle and Hub, you can pick your hub by fitting any of the AndyMark hubs (except the Small DD Globe Hub) to this wheel. Hubs are NOT included in the price of the wheel. If this is your choice, then no bearing is needed.
With Sprocket:
If you wish to drive this wheel with a sprocket, then the sprocket needs to be attached to the side of the wheel, and two ball bearings need to be pressed into the wheel (one on each side). The smallest sprocket that will work with these wheels is a S35-24 tooth and a S25-36 tooth sprocket.
With Bearing:
If your design needs this wheel to spin on a stationary axle (and possibly be driven by a sprocket), you will need 2 bearings with a 1.125" od pressed into this wheel. Use am-0029 for a 1/2" bore and am-0209 for a 3/8" bore. One bearing is pressed into each side of the wheel. Bearings are NOT included in the price of this wheel.
With Tread:
This wheel is designed to capture 1" wide conveyor belt tread (Roughtop or Wedgetop) between 2 wheel halves. The 6 perimeter screws can be loosened by 1/8 inch to install the desired tread. We recommend using Alligator Clips to hold the tread together on the wheel. One 6" Wheel Roughtop Tread is included in the price of the wheel.
For a Wider Wheel:
This wheel is designed so that a 5" PVC schedule 40 pipe can be inserted between the two wheel halves, and a wider wheel can be created (additional tread may be needed).
This pneumatic wheel offers a significant hub strength improvement over our popular plastic-hubbed 8in. Pneumatic Wheel. This variant of this strong wheel features a 1/2 hex bore, which is a perfect choice for building a WCD style drivetrain, or any live 1/2 hex axle style drive configuration. The hub of the wheel is comprised of a machined aluminum core, with two flat machined plates bolted to it to retain the tube and tire. This product is great for both FRC drivetrain applications, or non-FIRST outdoor applications as well.
This rubber roller is used in the 8" MK Mecanum Wheels. Included with the roller is one brass tube axle. 12 Rollers are used per wheel and 48 rollers are used in a wheel set.
Plaction wheels are a lightweight wheel made of strong molded polycarbonate. This eight inch diameter wheel has high traction blue nitrile roughtop tread. High performance plastic and high traction, Plaction.
