Bases de châssis d'entraînement
This is an upgrade kit for the AM14U4 that includes two 3 CIM EVO Shifter gearboxes and associated mounting hardware giving your robot a serious capability boost by adding the ability to shift speeds between one for flying down the field and another for precision alignment and pushing power. We have specifically selected the ratios we think are best for the 2019 game depending on which wheel diameter you wish to use.
For the 4 in. wheel version we give you the 4.77:1 and 16.37:1 ratios for final drive speeds of ~16 and ~5 ft/sec
For the 6 in. wheel version we give you the 7.56:1 and 22.67:1 ratios for final drive speeds of ~16 and ~5 ft/sec
For the 8 in. wheel version we give you the 8.63:1 and 25.90:1 ratios for final drive speeds of ~18 and ~6 ft/sec
This bundle gives your stock AM14U4 a serious capability upgrade by adding two speed EVO Shifters with ratios specifically selected to match with 8 inch wheels.

This is an upgrade kit for the AM14U4 that includes 2 EVO Slim gearboxes for CIM motors (not included) and the necessary hardware to mount them. The gear ratios for this kit have been optimized around a 4 in. wheel and some middle of the road driving speeds.
For the 4 in. wheel version we give you the 7.56:1 ratio for a final drive speed of ~11 ft/sec
This is an upgrade kit for the AM14U4 that includes 2 EVO Slim gearboxes for CIM motors (not included) and the necessary hardware to mount them. The gear ratios for this kit have been optimized around a 6 in. wheel and some middle of the road driving speeds.
For the 6 in. wheel version we give you the 10.86:1 ratio for a final drive speed of ~11 ft/sec
This chassis is the FRAME ONLY portion of the 2019 FRC Kit of Parts chassis, the AM14U4. This product ships as an un-assembled kit and does not include the gearboxes, belts, wheels or motors.
Various Configurations:
Built on the same great features of previous AM14U family chassis, this can be configured into many different perimeter, wheel, and gearbox configurations. There are literally thousands of possible playing configurations.
It is shipped as a Kit with plates that can build its large square configuration, without any components reduced in length. This makes it the largest possible size and allows for the user to trim the length and width of the chassis to become a long or wide version that fits into different the size constraints of each specific year. The assembly instructions show how it can be changed, be sure to check out the assembly videos as well.
Box Size: 7 in. x 7 in. x 34 in.
Included Hardware:
This bracket is used to assist mounting bumpers to the sides of an AM14U4 chassis in accordance with the 2019 FRC bumper rules. This bracket slots into the outside rail (am-3921) to make bumpers flush with the frame.
Specifications
The AM14U4 is the most versatile chassis for FIRST Robotics Competition teams. The chassis was named as such because there is a flavor of this AndyMark chassis for every one of you. The fourth generation of the AM14U has an option that works for every robot need. All of the options available through this page include the upgrade components only and will not ship with an AM14U4 chassis.
Drive Style Options:
The AM14U4 ship's standard with a 6 wheel drop center drive. The center wheels are dropped to improve turning capabilities. An 8 wheel drive style can be used as well allowing for more points of contact with the playing field. The center four wheels are dropped to decrease turning scrub. If you are interested in omnidirectional drive the U4 will support a four-wheel drive for Mecanum.
Wheel Type:
Wheel Diameter:
Larger wheels move your machine around the ground faster and require lower reduction gearboxes to move them. Small wheels require a larger reduction from your motors to hit the same speeds as big wheels, but take up less space and allow for more wheels.
Changes Beyond Bundles:
While we only list sixteen different upgrade kits here, you can further tweak these options by trying different types of tread on performance wheels, different durometers and diameters of HiGrip wheels, or adjusting the ratio in your gearboxes. If you don't see an option you like or want help configuring an option, contact us and we can help you find the right one.
Individual Components within Upgrade Kits:
Each of the upgrade options we offer includes the components and hardware needed to add the desired wheels and arrangement to the AM14U4. Details of what goes in each upgrade kit can be found below.

This turnbuckle is used on the Rhino Tank Drive Module to tighten the belt tread. It can be used in many other applications where tightening or drawing together various lines and cables are needed.
Specifications
This intake system is a build your own intake system that can integrate with the AM14U Family FRC drive system (assembly required). These parts are intended so you can cut, change and adjust to make the intake for YOUR robot. There is included hardware to power the intake via either a gear drive or a belt drive from anything with a 1/2 in. hex output shaft. You can chose to buy it bundled with a PG27 gearmotor (FRC Legal only) or supply your own gearmotor with a 1/2 in. hex output shaft that you might already have.
We intentionally do not have assembly instructions for this kit because it can be assembled many different ways to best suit your robot.
It comes with both pulley and belt OR gear options to make this run as a belt driven roller, or as a gear driven roller. The mount brackets have a mounting pattern to handle either option. The components in this kit are designed around use in the FIRST Robotics Competition and the motor used is not FIRST Tech Challenge legal.
Please keep this in mind when ordering.
Check out the product photo for an example of how to build it.
Optional Motor:
This bracket provides rigidity to the AM14U2 and AM14U3 and allows for more mounting locations.
