This is the game piece for the 2024 FIRST® Robotics Competition CRESCENDO℠ presented by Haas. It has a 14 in. OD and a 10 in. ID and is rather squishy / flexible. 

There are 113 total Notes on a field, 6 of which are “High Notes” that have white Gaff Tape (not included) applied as specified in the Game Manual.

Tubes are 47" long. Holes are 5mm (.197) in diameter with 1/2" grid spacing. Material is 6061 T-6 aluminum.

This assembly is used to easily make custom lengths of Polybelt loops. A set of thumb screws are included to make clamping belt ends simple. The over-center linkage makes it easy to bring the melted belt ends together and hold in place while the belt cools. This makes installing a custom-length polybelt loop on your mechanism easier than ever. This tool can accept polyurethane belts up to 2 inches wide. 

Usage:

1.) Place cut belt ends under the clamping plates with about 1/16 inch hanging toward the inside. If using 1 or 2 inch wide belt, align the sides to the alignment notches.

2.) Tighten the thumb screws on both sides until the belt is snug.

3.) Using a heat source like our Belt Welding Hot Knife (am-5284) heat up the belt ends until they start to melt.

4.) Once the ends start to melt, immediately close the clamp to press the melted ends together.

5.) When cool, loosen the thumb screws on the slotted sides of the clamp (note indicator holes for reference) and remove clamp from belt. 

Affordable and durable 2 inch squish wheels are now available. These wheels are commonly used by competitive robotics teams to move game pieces throughout their robot.

These wheels ship in packs of 10 for $3 per wheel and feature:

• 30A durometer TPE rubber material for maximum squishability
• .375 inch hex hole, intended to be stretched and used on 1/2 inch hex shafts or other larger OD tubes. Each wheel is 1/2 inch thick.

Polybelt is particularly useful in FRC for a myriad of applications. This 1 in. wide belt comes in a 10 foot roll. Cut it into custom lengths to suit your needs.

To form a continuous belt, cut the polybelt to length, ensuring the end is square. Next heat both ends of the belt until they start to melt and press the melted ends together. Be sure to keep the belt ends aligned when welding them together to help the belt run straight. When the belt cools, extra melted polyurethane can be trimmed back if desired and it's ready to be used.

We recommend the use of a Belt Welding Hot Knife (am-5284) and our Belt Welder Clamp (am-5285) for ease of polybelt welding.

The AndyMark Climber in a Box is a robust, lightweight, configurable and affordable solution for climbing challenges historically present in FRC end game periods. The design of Climber in a Box has been inspired by many team designs along the way including 254 and 2056. The final prototype for this climber was developed in partnership with FRC Team 3940 CyberTooth for the 2020/2021 Infinite Recharge season. This mechanism has been battle tested with hundreds of climbs on a full weight FRC Robot without failures, both in development and real match play. Available in single and two stage configurations, this product should help teams of all levels elevate their team's performance at competitions.

This product uses a "spring out, winch back" powertrain strategy, using off-the-shelf 3.5lb constant force springs to raise the included Hook Kit, and 3mm Dyneema Rope to retract it with the included Winch Kit. Simply unspool the included rope using a planetary gearbox to raise the hook(s), drive the robot up to the bar, and winch it back to elevate your robot. The AndyMark Climber in a Box does not include a motor or gearbox, but is compatible with many off-the-shelf planetary gearboxes on the market that have a 2" bolt circle mounting pattern and support a 2" long 1/2" hex output shaft, including the highly durable blue Sport Gearboxes.

The bearing kits within this product are designed to go from 2" square 1/16" wall aluminum tubing, down to a 1" square 1/16" wall tube, with a 1.5" square 1/16" wall tube in between for the 2 stage flavor of this product. A combination of durable 608 bearings and custom molded plastic components provide the bearing surfaces for a free-flowing telescoping tube mechanism with no 3D printed parts. Each stage has a maximum travel of 24.5."

The AndyMark Climber in a Box is an unassembled kit of everything you need (besides a gearmotor) that is designed to not require any precision machining in order to make your FRC robot climb. The plates included within the Hook Kit, Bearing Kits and Winch Kit are all designed to be assembled and used as drill guides for match drilling their mounting locations onto the aluminum tubes. Each tube is pre-cut to a 30" length so no cutting of the tubes is required to achieve maximum travel.

Sourcing the right stock for the right job can be hard sometimes. No longer is that true for 1/2 inch hex spacer stock! Offered in precisely machined 1.2 inch sections as well as one three and six foot lengths (plus or minus 0.125".) This rigid stock can be cut and used in any assembly you can think of. Gearbox design? Yup. Drive train design? Yep. Manipulator design? Yep! Why stop a spacers, you can even use it to couple 2 shafts together and transfer crazy amounts of torque or cover it in grippy material and use it as a game piece roller.
