    Competition in a Box


    Bring robotics competitions to the classroom with the Competition in a Box. This package is used for the Skills Ontario autonomus robotics competitions and includes numerous competition components, and a highly customizable competition arena system. The competition arena system is quick and easy to set up for a multitude of sizes and layouts depending on the type of competition and the space available. The curriculum contains more than 45 hours of activities and competitions divided among three competition zones. Zones 1 and 2 focus on R/C robotics while Zone 3 has students programming autonomous robots using PRIZM® and the Arduino Software (IDE). All activities and competitions are open-ended, allowing students to design and build their own robots while incorporating the engineering design process and systems thinking to solve each challenge.

    The Skills Canada Mobile Robotics Collectionis the official collection for the Skills Canada Mobile Robotics Competition.


    The set includes the TETRIX PRIZM® Robotics Controller, TETRIX Tele-Op Control Module, and PS4 DUALSHOCK 4 controller, providing teams limitless programmable remote-control execution. Program the PS4 controller to complete actions or a sequence of actions at the touch of a button. Control speed with the swipe of the finger. With the PRIZM controller and Tele-Op module, there are infinite opportunities for behaviors and movements at your fingertips.


    The Skills Canada Mobile Robotics Collection has over 702 Structural component and hardware elements parts including anodised aluminum channel, brackets, clamps, shaft hubs, steel axles, gears, bar beams, spacers, bushings, set collars, anchor blocks, couplers, rack and pinion elements, 2 x 12 volt DC Motors with encoders, 1 x continuous servo Motor, 2 x standard servo motor, optical encoders, mounting brackets, bearings, 4 Wheels, axle couplers, bushings, sprockets, shaft hubs and chain, and a vast assortment of fasteners, socket head screws, button head screws, Lock nuts etc.


    TETRIX® PRIZM™ features:


    • 32 KB flash programmable memory
    •  ATmega328P processor with Arduino Optiboot bootloader installed
    •  4 digital sensor ports (D2 can be used as a serial port) and 3 analog sensor ports
    •  1 I2C port, 1 USB programming port, 1 motor controller expansion port, and 2 quadrature encoder input ports
    • 2 high-current DC motor control ports
    •  6 standard control servo ports and 2 continuous rotation (CR) servo ports
    •  Battery connection port (additional port used to daisy-chain power to other devices)
    •  Programmable Start button (green) and a non-programmable Stop/Reset button (red)
