1 in. Bearing Side Mount Gusset

Whether you are building an elite custom drivetrain or a championship manipulator, you need your components to stay where they're supposed to. These lightweight spacers come in 3/8", 1/2", and 5 mm hex bores to accommodate the most common shaft types They can also be used on round shafts and bolts (5mm is great for #10 hardware!). If you need to space a lot grab some 1" spacers. If you need ultimate precision pick up some 0.063" spacers. Not sure which spacers you need? These spacers are molded in black polycarbonate, a tough, crack resistant material that FIRST teams are familiar with. These spacers should resist stress cracking. This is a Heavy Duty Hex Bearing which outperforms our previous 1/2" Hex Bearings as it has a Heavy Duty Inner Race. This FR8ZZ-HexHD bearing, 1/2" hex bore, flanged, heavy duty inner race, shielded ball bearing, has an inner race that is thicker and stronger than our recent offering of a similar bearing (am-0279). This bearing has more material between the corners of the hex bore and the edge of the race making it stronger and much less likely to crack under high load.

This bearing is guaranteed to have a stronger, thicker race. 100% of these bearings have been quality checked for a smooth fit over 1/2" hex stock here at AndyMark. Many of our long-time customers will recognize this bearing, as it is the same version we sold back in 2008-2011, and we did not have any failures. Now, it is renamed and quality checked for your high load needs - including drive chassis with cantilevered wheels.

These custom designed collar clamps have been designed specifically with FIRST Robotics Competition teams in mind. The one-piece collar clamp is a nice fractional 1/2 in. width to make shaft stackups easy. The clamping force is provided by a 10-32 socket head screw, which is bigger than most used in the competition marketplace.  This provides a high-strength clamping solution that shouldn't strip out when you need it most. You can even replace the 10-32 screw if it becomes lost with the screws historically used in the AM14U family of chassis. These thoughtfully designed collar clamps also have small bosses on each side. This allows these collar clamps to be installed directly adjacent to an FR8ZZ Round or FR8ZZ Hex bearing without rubbing on the outer races for smooth operation.

Our SpinTake has three bore options, making it a viable part for both FRC and FTC! This product is ideal as an intake "wheel" for picking up game pieces of varying shapes. Made from natural rubber, the SpinTake is flexible, yet firm. Its unique shape also allows it to be oriented to stay within the robot frame perimeter initially but can reach outside just by spinning. These work in a similar fashion to surgical tubing fingers on an axle, but are easier to implement and provide a cleaner look with more consistent results. 

The Hex Bore options are designed to be an interference fit on their associated Hex Shafts. This means it will be a tight press to install but will resist slipping under load.

Churro is a versatile extruded aluminum hex profile. The outside of this part is a 1/2 in. hex with small concave dimples which act as weight savings. There is an inside hole is sized at 0.2 in. in order to fit 1/4-20 thread forming screws. No tapping or threading is needed, as long as a thread forming screw is used. The outside hex size fits a 1/2 in. wrench or socket. 

The 3-foot churro, our most popular length and the best value on shipping, is available anodized in red, blue, purple, gold and black to dress up your robot. Anodized finish is hardy and doesn't flake off or add thickness like paint, but it is possible for a scratch to expose the bare metal beneath. Take basic precautions in your shop like watching for sharp tools or overtightening this churro in a vise.
