What's New and Improved in navX2-MXP

    • Significantly improved yaw accuracy and stability, even during Extreme inertial events. navX2-MXP features very high-accuracy orientation (yaw/pitch/roll), with minimal yaw drift of ~0.5 degree per minute when moving, and < 0.2 degrees/hour when still. navX2-MXP is incredibly stable, and averages a yaw drift of only 2 degrees per DAY when still. navX2-MXP's new Industrial-class ISM330DHCX IMU sensor handles high rotation (4000 degree/second) and impact (16G, operates in higher temperature environments and can survive extreme shock events (20,000G).
    • Rapid (5-second) auto-calibrating startup.
    • navX2-MXP features an upgraded 180Mhz 32-bit floating-point ARM processor, the new sensors, and new state-of-the-art software algorithms which take navX technology to the next level, including a blazing-fast 416-Khz Kalman Filter, enhanced sensor calibration and algorithms which fuse gyro, accelerometer and magnetometer data into a “9-axis heading”.
    • As a result of these upgrades, the accuracy of Velocity Vector Measurements and Displacement Estimates is also improved.

More technical details are available in the navX2 MXP technical specifications and there's even more information at navX2-MXP Online.

Bearing, 1/2 inch Hex Bore, Flanged, (FR8ZZ-HexHD)

    #am-2986
    $8.00
    (109 In stock)

This is a Heavy Duty Hex Bearing which outperforms our previous 1/2" Hex Bearings as it has a Heavy Duty Inner Race. This FR8ZZ-HexHD bearing, 1/2" hex bore, flanged, heavy duty inner race, shielded ball bearing, has an inner race that is thicker and stronger than our recent offering of a similar bearing (am-0279). This bearing has more material between the corners of the hex bore and the edge of the race making it stronger and much less likely to crack under high load.

This bearing is guaranteed to have a stronger, thicker race. 100% of these bearings have been quality checked for a smooth fit over 1/2" hex stock here at AndyMark. Many of our long-time customers will recognize this bearing, as it is the same version we sold back in 2008-2011, and we did not have any failures. Now, it is renamed and quality checked for your high load needs - including drive chassis with cantilevered wheels.

    Specifications:

    • Inside diameter: 0.500-0.502 inch hex bore
    • Outside diameter: 1.125 inch
    • Flange thickness: 0.062 inch
    • Overall thickness: 0.312 inch
    • Weight: 0.05 pound

    2023 Game Piece Cube

    #am-4700_bpc
    $9.50
    (In stock)

Each CONE (am-4700_syc) is a yellow 1 ft. ¹³⁄₁₆ in. (~33 cm) tall rubber marker cone and weighs 1lb 7oz (~653 g). Each CONE has an 8⅜ in. (~21 cm) +/- ⅛in. (~3 mm) square base with ¼ in. (~7 mm) tall feet.

Each CUBE (am-4700_bpc) is made of purple PVC fabric and is marked with a FIRST logo. The CUBE is a cube-like shape, inflated to 9 ½ in. (~24 cm) +/- ¼ in. (~6 mm) as measured from face to face, but these ship deflated. A CUBE has rounded corners, may not have flat surfaces, and the length, width, and height of the sides may not be equal dimensions. A CUBE weighs 2.5 oz (~71 g).

The Cube Measurement Jig (am-4700_cmj) is a tool developed by FIRST to calibrate CUBE inflation at events. The appropriate range for CUBE inflation is between when the cube can lift the jig off the ground due to it's inflation, and when the cube touches both sides of the jig at the same time. The total weight of the jig is important in determining the minimum bound.

    0.5 in. Hex Hub

    #am-2568

This is the "500EX Hex Hub" the bore is a 1/2" Hex Hole. It is a slightly different version of the 500 Hex Hub. It is manufactured differently, as it is extruded. Also, there is a 1.124" diameter boss on each side of the hub flange, providing a location for 1.125" bore flat sprockets. Are you having a hard time keeping your sprocket concentric with your hub? This hub is the trick.

This is the hub featured in the 2014 and 2015 Kit of Parts Drive Chassis and fits all AndyMark wheels.
