Shrink Tube Solder, Red, 22-20 AWG, Qty 10

    #am-3508_red
    $12.30
    (En stock)
Used to make the perfect termination when connecting wires without crimping, heat shrink solder sleeves use 3 materials (solder, heat shrink, glue adhesive) to provide maximum pull-out strength, excellent conductivity and helps prevent corrosion. Easy to install with just the use of a heat gun (must have enough heat to melt the solder), simply overlap the exposed ends of the wires and center the solder preform of the shield solder sleeve over the center conductors.

    SRX Magnetic Encoder

    #am-3445
    $65.00
    (En stock)

The SRX Mag Encoder is a rotary sensor that can be used to measure rotational position and velocity. The device senses the magnetic field of a diametrically polarized magnet to determine rotational position with 12 bit precision. The device provides both a Quadrature interface that may be used for relative position measurement and a Pulse Width Modulated output for absolute position measurement. The device connects directly to the Talon SRX data port and is directly supported in the Talon SRX firmware. Please see Magnetic Encoder user's guide for more information and kit contents.

    String Potentiometer Hardware Kit

    #am-2618h
    $4.00
    (0 En stock)

A great start to being able to use a string pot sensor is here. This kit excludes the potentiometer and housing so you can use components you have in house.
Two options are available, as you can download 3D Prints for the Cap, Case, & Spool. Or you can buy a complete kit that only needs to be assembled.
A portion of the proceeds of this sale will be given to Chap Robotics FRC team 2468, who developed and used this idea on their competition robots.

    Included Hardware:

    • Three - 4-40 x 0.75" Screws (to seal the enclosure)
    • One - 4-40 x 3/8" SHCS (to capture the potentiometer shaft)
    • One - Retractable String component

    Specifications:

    • Retractable String Length: ~27 inch
    • Spool Circumference: 2.985 in (+/- 0.1)

Note: With the retractable string provided you will only be able to get about eight to nine turns out of the ten turn potentiometer. To get the full range, use the spring from the retractable string component and a 30" string instead.

    Talon Tach

    #am-3778
    $21.53
    (En stock)

The Talon Tach is a multipurpose reflective sensor with limit switch and tachometer capabilities. An onboard infrared emitter/sensor enables optical detection of a reflective surface, and filtering hardware produces crisp square-wave outputs for repeatable measurement. The Talon Tach integrates dual 10-pin headers to easily interface with the Talon SRX while daisy-chaining other devices such as the SRX Mag Encoder. Solder pad mode selectors are bridged to select operation as a forward/reverse limit switch or tachometer, and the onboard 3-pin header can be used to provide a generic output. Please see the User Manual for more information.
