The Thrifty Bot exists to provide lower cost, commonly used parts to FIRST Robotics teams. Our goal is to help address the sustainability issues of competition robotics by providing affordable parts to teams.

This is the same pulley used on the Thrifty Elevator Dyneema Pulley Kit. Works great with 1/8" dyneema rope and has a 1/4" ID bearing in the center allowing teams to use a bolt to easily mount it and have it spin freely.
1.15" OD with a .365" groove will let this pulley work with other rope options as well.
This new kit from Thriftybot allows you to drive 1.125" ID tubing in a number of ways. Using the Thrifty Metahub, plug into tubes and use your bearing bore of choice.
Kit includes all of the following -
- QTY 2 Aluminum Thrifty Metahubs - 24 Tooth HTD pulley that support the following configurations -
QTY 2 - 1" OD needle roller bearings for 3/4" OD tubes
QTY 2 - 1/2" hex bearings for hex shafts
QTY 2 - 3/8" ID bearings and a custom hex spacer. Run a 1/4-20 bolt thru your external material and then slip the roller tube in to connect the two hubs together.
Note that this kit provides enough parts to create a full roller with aluminum hubs on each end.

Aluminum Metahub Weight: .15 lbs
These crowned roller pulleys are designed to fit over 1.25" OD tubing. They are made from 70A durometer TPE and are great for keeping flat urethane belting centered on your tubes or for simply intaking game pieces using the rollers themselves.
Holes are included for 5/32 rivets that can be used for retention on tubes. Rivets nest nicely within the TPE material, leaving the rivet head slightly below the rest of the roller material.

These aluminum 5M HTD Pulleys work great for creating belt reductions directly off the motor. Use a 15mm wide belt or two 9mm wide belts as the inside pulley teeth are 18.5mm wide. Choose either Kraken SplineXS bore, 8mm keyed bore, or Falcon spline bore depending on the motor type you're using.
This 5M HTD aluminum pulley will allow teams to create belt reductions and drive mechanisms with a common 1/2" hex interface. We focused on robustness and tested them thoroughly during the 2024 season to ensure the flanges do not pop off during use.
- 18.5mm wide teeth allows for two 9mm belts or one 15mm wide belt
- Includes a small bump out to offset away from bearings.
This 48 tooth 5M HTD aluminum pulley will allow teams to create belt reductions and drive mechanisms using a hub interface or on a shaft. We focused on robustness and tested them thoroughly during the 2024 season to ensure the flanges do not pop off during use.
- 1.126" bore allows for teams to insert a hub, a bearing or a bushing depending on their application. This pulley gives you maximum flexibility for your mechanism designs.
- 18.5mm wide teeth allows for two 9mm belts or one 15mm wide belt
- Includes both 1.875" and 2" bolt circles to work either both standards.
